RSI to resume inspections, with new procedures

RSI member companies have similar approach in regards to the Covid-19 outbreak; in short to protect our employees, to protect our businesses – and to take our societal responsibility. RSI have now taken the decision to approve members to resume RSI inspections, with new procedures to protect both inspectors and employees from spread of infection (see Guidance for inspectors on COVID). The decision to perform inspection on chartered vessels still lies on each RSI member.

RSI is following advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) regarding the current outbreak of Covid-19 and support ITF statement below:

We call on all governments and transport companies to implement all measures available to them to limit the risk of transmission of the deadly coronavirus to transport workers globally. This is particularly important for airline, border, cruise workers, seafarers and port workers who are in the front line of the outbreak.

Stay safe!
